| the place promised in our early days this is not as much known as "spirited away" or "AKIRA", but extraordinary good. it is a fictional, surreal story- set to a place neither future nor past, but an imaginary japanese country. it is set about the feelings of people working in a military workshop. |
BAREFOOT GEN plays in hiroshima after WW2. it is including the dropping of the bomb by the american's, and the help japan received in the following years- from the perspective of kids, including to loose famliy members. was blacklisted until recently, then released on DVD. |
| ACACIA is a korean movie- about adoption, and marriage hygiene. it is not uncontroversial- for this reason, settled to 18+. subtitle "the root of all evil". | PRINCESS MONONOKE tries to put light on the GENJII vs. HEIKE impact native to japanese history. it is not directly calling real names, but illustrates fictional events- including a wild monster pig like beast, a iron age japanese village maintaining battle against wolves, and in the end, mystical scenes, and the disappearance of tiny, unearthy creatures once found on the japanese island. |
| YOUNG THUGS is a vintage movie from OSAKA- about things like fireworks, guns, and...woman, as well a boys expedition, and much more. it is really a cool movie- just, it is bad! but it is lovely japanese crap- so to say. it is even a strange movie. | DUNE is a classical story from 1984- a science fiction plot settled to 8000 years in the future, and, this time, not planet earth. however, it rather old fashioned in the making (not relying on special effects). and it is extraordinary dark matter. |
